Cycling the Tour de France for Julia's House

After 3,426 kilometres, all sorts of weather and the toughest mountains the Alps and Pyrenees can throw at you, I finished my Tour Challenge raising over £5,000 for Julia's House - the Dorset Children's Hospice. If you would like to find out more about my exploits, I kept a daily log, with some amazing pictures, in the Tour Challenge Blog.

The challenge consisted of 21 official stages from the last 7 Tours and involved 3,426 kilometres of cycling over 23 days including 8 high category mountains. You can find more detail about the route and stages on the route map page. I designed and planned the whole trip myself and self funded the entire trip to maximise the sponsorship received for the charity.

Julia’s House supports Dorset families with life-limited children, providing frequent respite care both in its Corfe Mullen-based hospice and in their own homes. Julia’s House is there year-round and in a crisis, offering emotional and practical support, emergency respite and end-of-life care. It supports the whole family, not just the sick child, organising social activities for parents and siblings.

You can still donate through JustGiving, the process is simple, fast and totally secure – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity - so please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks
