Q1) Why the Tour de France?
Because I’ve been a fan of the race since the Indurain era and love cycling; whilst having ‘finally’ hung up the football boots, I needed a new challenge and they don’t come tougher than the Tour de France!

Q2) How did you decide the route?
By first identifying recent stages that include some of the most popular Tour mountains. The route maps, for recent Tours, were then researched to identify interesting stages which could feasibly link the mountain stages together, whilst still maintaining the format of a Tour, with a blend of flat, hilly, mountain and time trial stages.

Q3) Why have you chosen to support Julia's House?
As a father I cannot imagine how a parent would feel should their child become seriously ill. I work closely with Dorset County Council Children’s Services and hear of the great support Julia’s House provide to unwell children and their families despite the huge financial fundraising challenge - I simply wanted to help out.

Q4) Why have you chosen to use JustGiving.com as the donation site?
Because donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Q5) I have sponsorship money but do not want to pay it in via JustGiving?
We would prefer for money to be paid in via JustGiving as it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. If you do not want to take this approach, please contact us to make alternative arrangements.

Q6) I have a suggestion for a fundraising idea, how can I get in touch?
We would be grateful to hear from you, please feel free to contact us.

Q7) Can I join you?
Due to the logistical arrangements, unfortunately we won’t be able to include any other riders. However, should you be interested in riding in subsequent years we would be interested to hear from you. .
